  part of a series of workshops and events that deal with antisemitism\, Is

 est in the topic is encouraged to attend.\n\n\n\n\nIn her public lecture o
 n July 5\, 2024\, French political scientist Emilia Roig will explore the 
 complex and contentious relationship between Zionism and antisemitism. The
  discussion will delve into historical and contemporary contexts\, examini
 ng how accusations of antisemitism have been weaponized by numerous factio
 ns within the Zionist movement and the impact this has on political discou
 rse\, freedom of speech\, and the global perception of the current situati
 on in Gaza\, Palestine\, وإسرائيل. The consequences of using accusations
  of antisemitism as a political tool\, as well as the ethical implications
  for genuine efforts to combat antisemitism will be discussed.\n\nAs an au
 thor\, political scientist\, and activist\, Roig tackles systematic inequa
 lities and discrimination through an intersectional approach. She gives ke
 ynote speeches and workshops\, advising companies\, NGOs\, and governments
  on topics such as intersectionality\, discrimination\, diversity\, and in
 clusion. Roig has worked for Amnesty International\, the United Nations\, 
 and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ). Sh
 e has also carried out teaching assignments at Humboldt-Universität zu Be
 rlin and Freie Universität Berlin. She founded the Berlin-based Center fo
 r Intersectional Justice (CIJ) in 2017.\n\n\n
