 die antimilitaristische Bewegung in den USA zur Zeit des Vietnamkriegs. Tr
 otz der damals herrschenden Wehrpflicht\, widersprachen tausende junge Men
 schen dem Militärdienst. Im Film werden Momente vom kollektiven öffentli
 chen Verbrennen der Einberufungsbescheide aber auch Repressionen gegen die
  Kriegsdienstverweigerer seitens des Staates gezeigt. Mit Archivaufnahmen 
 und Interviews werden neben Martin Luther King Jr. und Muhammad Ali die Ge
 schichte von vielen weiteren Kriegsdienstverweigerern gezeigt.\n\nIm Ansch
 luss gibt es bei Punsch und Glühwein die Möglichkeit zum Austausch über
  die bevorstehende Wehrpflicht und unseren Widerstand dagegen. ✊\n\n___\
 n\nDraft Resistance is a documentary about the anti-militarist movement in
  the United States during the Vietnam War. Despite the draft being mandato
 ry at the time\, thousands of young people refused to serve in the militar
 y. The film shows key moments of the movement\, from the collective public
  burning of draft cards to the state repression faced by conscientious obj
 ectors. Using archival footage and interviews\, it tells the stories not o
 nly of Martin Luther King Jr. and Muhammad Ali\, but also of many other ac
 tivists whose resistance helped shape the movement.\n\nAfterwards\, there 
 will be an exchange over punch and Glühwine about the upcoming draft law 
 and our resistance to it. ✊
