Spectral Wound Spectral Wound play black metal, unadulterated and unadorned. Against the grain of both atmospheric and militaristic strands of the genre, Spectral Wound rzeźbi przestrzeń poza fetyszem natury czy dziecinnym romansem władzy. Bez Boga, bez Szatana, bez Odyna, bez narodu, bez transcendencji, bez esencji. Widmowa Rana kieruje okropnościami ciała i gwałtownością ducha, zdeformowany pod ciężarem historii, na krawędzi wirującej pustki.

Rana spektralna utworzona w 2014 w Montrealu, Quebec, jako naczynie samonegacji i egzystencjalnego lęku, połączenie surowej furii tradycyjnego black metalu z melodyjną wrażliwością fińskiego i quebeckiego BM. Po odejściu gitarzysty prowadzącego Mike'a Kirkenbranssara po Terra Nullius z 2015 roku, Spectral Wound poszerzył swój skład o gitarzystów Patricka McDowalla i Seana Zumbuscha, rozwijanie i dopracowywanie brzmienia zespołu na monumentalnej Infernal Decadence (2018). Z rekrutacją Samuela Arseneau-Roya na bas w 2019, zespół wydał A Diabolic Thirst w 2021, dalsza destylacja okrucieństwa i wznoszenia, radosna melancholia, czyli Widmowa Rana.

Piekielny Rozpruwacz Oznaczony przez magazyn Metal Hammer jako „Król tajemnego mosha w Szkocji”, Hellripper ma na celu przywołanie kwintesencji dźwięku „black ‘n’ roll”, mieszanie wpływów z klasycznych black metalowych płyt z lat 80-tych z bardziej nowoczesnymi akcentami. Mocno zainspirowany czarami i siłami nadprzyrodzonymi, Hellripper jest również głęboko zakorzeniony w swoich szkockich korzeniach, using the landscape and historical events as a backdrop for its lyrics and imagery. Hellripper is fast, loud and uncompromising.

Bio:
Hellripper is a one-man black/speed metal band formed by James McBain and based in the Scottish highlands. Formed at the end of 2014 and with the release of the debut EP ‘The Manifestation of Evil’ at the start of 2015, the band have made their statement clear… Total fucking mayhem!
2015 oraz 2016 saw the release of an EP and a couple of split EPs to positive reviews in the underground as well as the assembly of a live line-up. The band’s debut album ‘Coagulating Darkness’ was released in April 2017, resulting in Metal Hammer crowning Hellripper “Scotland’s King of the arcane mosh”.
2018 saw the band sign to US-based ‘Reaper Metal Productions’ – a division of ‘Hells
Headbangers Records’ and the release of a 4-track EP in April 2019.
At the end of 2019, the band signed a deal with ‘Peaceville Records’ for the release of their second album ‘The Affair of the Poisons’ w 2020, which again, was also released to great reviews and led to the band’s first appearance on the US Billboard Charts.
