Belly Hole Freak is Massimiliano “Belly” with guitar, voice, handmade running board rammer, Hi Hat, pool, Cowbell-Tambourine, Kazoo and anklets. All instruments are played simultaneously in his one-man shows. He finds his roots in the countryside, raw and dirty blues. An instinctive and intuitive sound, enriched with different colors, Rhythms and shades of boogie, Rhythm’n’Blues, Country, Bluegrass, mixed with a hard rock blues sound, which is played live with a lot of energy and a clear rock'n'roll attitude. Reference artists include Howlin Wolf, Captain Beefheart, Robert Johnson, Tom Waits and bands like Cream, Allman Brothers, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Cactus, The Bluesbreakers, to name just a few.
