After the opening of the holiday games by the Forstfeld/Bettenhausen holiday alliance on the outdoor area of the Losseschule Bettenhausen, you can play in the Agathof, which also has a house from the afternoon onwards- and street festival takes place, big and small people, Old and young, Try out West African drumming. The program, led by drum master Ibs Sallah, is open to all children, Registration is not required and participation is free!
Drumming doesn't just promote a sense of community, the ability to concentrate and the sense of rhythm, but above all it's a lot of fun. The offer is aimed at all children, who would like to create the sounds of West African rhythms and play grooves together. Djembes and bass drums are used, Body percussion and small percussion. The drums are provided.
The one from Gambia (West Africa) Native musician and music educator Ibs Sallah lives and works in Göttingen. He teaches across Europe, gives workshops for children, Young people and adults at schools and cultural centers. He is also committed to social projects worldwide. For several years he has led the Kulturfabrik Salzmann as a contribution to musical-aesthetic education for all ages- and learning levels, workshops were held in a way that was both sensitive and enthralling. www.ibssallah.com
