Am 6. April 2021 marks the anniversary of Halit Yozgat's death 15. Times. Halit Yozgat became 2006 Murdered by the NSU in his Internet café in Kassel on Holländische Strasse. As every year, a solidarity community from Kassel and beyond gathers on this day, to commemorate Halit Yozgat at Halit Square. In addition, there is the possibility to commemorate Halit Yozgat with virtual actions under #HalitGedenken.
Memorial event of the Yozgat family
At Halitplatz, on 6. April at 15:30h the memorial event of the Yozgat family and the city of Kassel will take place. Due to the corona pandemic, the memorial event will only be able to take place with a limited number of participants. Please note the currently valid Corona regulations. You can also place flowers there.
#HalitGedenken - Share your memorial campaign
The homepage of the Initiative 6. April should on 6.4. become a digital gathering of different voices, commemorate the Halit. Post photos of your actions and commemorations on social media under the hashtag #HalitGedenken and / or send them to the initiative 6. April. Despite Corona we want to show, that we are there and at the same time call for digital commemorations. The racist murder of Halit has not been forgotten!
