Am 21. June 2020 B survived. Efe narrowly escapes a racist murder attempt while working as a minicar driver.
Together with the solidarity group B. Eph 09 he repeatedly draws attention to the lack of support from the authorities. Immediately after the murder attempt, Efe reported on the perpetrator's clearly right-wing slogans. But the investigation against the perpetrator was stopped, without there being any attempts to investigate the right-wing scene. After years of attempts, Efe receives no support from the Hessian victims' fund, the one after the right-wing murders in Kassel 2019 as well as Hanau 2020 was set up, about right-wing victims, to help combat racist and anti-Semitic violence in an unbureaucratic manner.
Commemorative events are held annually on the anniversary of the attempted murder, often in the form of a motorcade.
