That agriculture and especially animal production is one of the biggest causes of climate catastrophe, is undisputed. Without a drastic reduction in global animal production, climate justice will not be possible. Nevertheless, dealing with the topic remains difficult, whether at the dinner table or in political contexts. Comfortable stories about the ecological harmlessness of organic meat and organic milk or the romantic reference to indigenous cultures often obscure the view of the essential causal relationships.
The growth of the animal production industry represents a prime example of profit-driven capitalist production. This industry has succeeded, To successfully market luxury products for a small but wealthy part of the world's population and to externalize the costs in the form of massive destruction of nature. The extreme exploitation of workers found in animal production coincides with the immeasurable suffering of those reduced to a means of production (Useful)animals.

More and more people are living vegan, but it is too simple and not enough, to point out the responsibility of consumers. Germany is the fourth largest meat exporter in the world (and the largest in Europe). There are also massive imports of animal feed, especially from South America, which are accompanied by heavy rainforest deforestation and habitat destruction.

Therefore: Climate justice means abolishing the animal industry!
