Latin American Alternativ – Evening with Yerba Colorá & Kuranderos.

Yerba Colorá is an international one, alterlatino Band, the 2016 was founded in Marburg. Yerba Colorá combines Latin American rhythms like a melting pot of sound (Cumbia, Son) with elements of psychedelic rock, folk and reggae. The special originality of the music is characterized by stirring melodies, inspiring guitar solos and a powerful rhythm section. This diversity is also reflected in the song lyrics of front woman and band founder Naomi Keates, which address both the everyday challenges of life as well as the exploitation of the environment and social injustice. In the year 2020 the first EP “¡Eh! P.” and the corona pandemic, which broke out almost at the same time, immediately provided several reasons, to produce more song material. With success, Because soon afterwards, Yerba Colorá was nominated as an award-winning finalist in the “Latin” section of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. The second EP was released in 2021 published and in the summer 2023 The band will go on their first tour of England and, among other things,. take part in the Greater Manchester Fringe Festival. The Latin cover band is there Kuranderos, the rock/reggae with son, Cha-Cha, Ska and cumbia merged. With five musicians on stage from Mexico, Venezuela, Perú and Germany they delight the audience and make the night shake. Kuranderos' repertoire includes well-known songs in Spanish and English and invites you to join in the celebrations.
