Nelly Sachs has created a work, that gives words to lamentation and sorrow, Paints language pictures, which is memorized and allows me to remember with these words. Again and again, til today. There is an offer of consolation in these images of mournful memory, even if this does not seem possible to this day in view of the crimes committed. For me, this is what makes Nelly Sachs' work unique and still relevant today.
