“We see ourselves as anarcha-feminists. But what does that mean specifically??
The short version is: we reject any form of domination, also that of the patriarchy (Rule of fathers/men).
Therefore, in our opinion, consistent anarchism also requires consistent feminism. Conversely, we also understand feminism as an anarchist attitude, because we unite and rebel against it due to shared experiences of oppression through all forms of rule. Our feminism is intersectional and is therefore not only directed against specific forms of power (as, unfortunately, to the patriarchy), but also against capitalist exploitation and racist violence/oppression. We view these oppressive mechanisms as interconnected systems. That's why we don't want to overcome them separately.
In the lecture we will first define some terms, analyze the connection between capitalism, Colonialism and patriarchy and present our understanding of anarcha-feminism. We then critically examine the movement in German-speaking countries and explain in more detail the need for anarcha-feminist practice. Finally, we show their development using a historical and a current example and take a practice-oriented look at a possible anarcha-feminist future.”
