The police brought them, to the psychiatric department of the Vienna Otto Wagner Hospital. Now she tells the chief psychiatrist Doctor basket, why it had to happen. It speaks of growing up in the ultra-Catholic Carinthian village idyll. Living together with the parents and her younger brother Bernhard, the welcome they necessarily save. In her debut novel "Our Father" leaves Angela Lehner a highly unreliable narrator occur: intriguing, besserwisserisch, perhaps even a public danger. Angela Lehner, born 1987 in Klagenfurt, grew up in East Tyrol, lives in Berlin. She studied comparative literature in Vienna, Maynooth and Erlangen. U.a. she took 2016 on the prose workshop at the Literary Colloquium Berlin and 2017 at Klagenfurt Bunny course part. 2018 she was a finalist of the literary prize Floriana.
"Our Father" is her first novel, she 2019 won several awards, such as the Franz-Tumler Literature Prize, the literature prize Alpha and the Austrian book price.
