What can you see in a greenhouse?, without seeing? We'll get to the bottom of this question as part of a tour for blind and sighted people in the large greenhouse in Kassel's mountain park.
The tour offers special access to the large greenhouse. The tour invites you to do so, the room via temperatures, Sounds, To explore scents and selected haptic impressions and to perceive the greenhouse in an immediate way. The leadership takes time for perception and exchange and consciously works with the possibilities, that the place offers. This creates a concentrated one, quiet access to the greenhouse, which leaves room for individual impressions.
There are two dates to choose from for the tour:
- Saturday, the 28. February of 14:00 to 15:30 Clock
- Thursday, the 19. March from 15:00 to 16:30 Clock
The offer is free. Please register with Gerrit Retterath, stating your desired date . So that everyone can move around safely on site, We put together pairs of sighted and blind people in advance, who will move through the greenhouse together. Please indicate when registering, whether you have visual impairment or not. We are happy to provide assistance with your arrival.
The place is wheelchair accessible. Assistance dogs are allowed. The offer is a cooperation between the Schlachthof Cultural Center and Hessen Kassel Heritage and is supported by Aktion Mensch.
