Sandershaus, Kassel

A voice of outrage against the silence of destruction. The Nuremberg indie songwriter Erik Stenzel sings about a world with critical poetry and moving energy, who should be saved. His powerful melodies and stirring rhythms encourage everyone in their attitude and actions, who advocate and encourage a world of security and community, who don't do that yet, to think about it. After his master's thesis in climatology, Erik decided, his fears and worries in his debut album “open eyes” to process and from now on share with us as musicians. 2024 his second studio album was released, which one with the title “Tasks and actions” extends an invitation to change our social systems. The “Free swimmer” changed by his courage, to do something different, more than expected, the poor pigs in the industrial slaughterhouses come in “Set the table for yourself” back on the table of our consciousness and “The real price” makes clear, how high our debts are even as newborns. Through the seeds that Erik sows in our heads with his eloquent songs, new perspectives and emotional connections emerge, which grow into anger and hope at the same time. A good mix, to change something.
