A signal of confidence
“Many people are worried and feel hopeless, alone and ineffective. That's exactly what we want to change”, says Dr. Maiken Winter, Initiator of the action. “We want people from Klima- and nature conservation, from churches and trade unions, from agriculture and forestry, from healthcare and all other areas, Young and old, bring people together, which are otherwise rarely next to each other. A human chain is particularly suitable for this: You hold hands and notice, that you are not alone.”
The alliance sees the action as non-partisan and explicitly broader than a pure climate demonstration. Of course it's also about the climate - but it's about much more. Because climate protection, Nature conservation, peace, democracy, justice- all of this is mutually dependent. To protect our livelihoods, We need to think about these areas much more closely and join forces even more closely.
