Mit "Volver" Pedro Almodóvar kehrte 2006 back to its beginnings: to his native La Mancha, to women, grotesque to his gorgeous, shrill, the karikaturistisch, sometimes almost escapist elements. Yet "Volver" is a real melodrama, melancholy and full of lightness at the same time.
