This film focuses on people, who live and try to realize their vision of cooperation and sharing. The film tracks down places where such activities occur – beyond the market and the state. We meet people in Venezuela and Germany, which are about stable relationships, a reliable cooperation in work and life and a sharing of resources.
We have reached a critical point. On the one hand, we are experiencing the constant evolution of technical possibilities, which opens up incredible perspectives for us. But at the same time we are facing massive ecological collapse, if we do not decide to behave differently in dealing with our world. We are experiencing a deep divide between rich and poor, wars, Civil wars and mass exodus – centralized hierarchies on the one hand and unleashed markets on the other. From birth to death, the most personal areas of life are becoming increasingly commercialized, technologized and alienated us.
Together with the protagonists we set off and discover old and new models of sharing, of cooperation and living together, that are based on community.
We don't convey any ideologies, no patent solutions or the impression of knowing, where things will go in the future. The film invites you, to see the world through community eyes and take action.
