This lecture addresses the question, how the vision of a degrowth society could be brought out of its niche. While various degrowth practices and ideas are already being implemented in a large number of projects and initiatives, their vision has so far hardly played a role in politics and business. Against this background, the pros- and disadvantages of different strategies are discussed, through which actors try to influence the transformation towards a degrowth society. Who are these actors and what alliances emerge? What alliances would also be necessary?

The lecture is part of the series "Grown firmly - ways out of the dependence on growth”:
For some it is inevitable for social prosperity, for the others, it inevitably leads to ecological crises.
But there really is no alternative to economic growth? What do we have to gain and what to lose, if we want to make ourselves independent of growth? And which paths could lead to the path of a post-growth society? Be there and join the discussion:31.05. – 19:30 – Linda Schneider
