In the year 2020 Belarusian society rose up against the dictatorship of Alexander Lukashenko and his lackeys. People organized themselves for months, demonstrated and fought for a just and free society. But the state got its way and started, to crush the protest step by step. More than two years have passed since the uprising began. Thousands ended up in prison for many years. Including anarchists and anti-fascists, who stood on the streets with the population. Despite the long time, that has passed since the protests, State terror continues, with more and more arrests for taking part in the protests or continuing resistance to the regime.
Anarchist Black Cross Belarus has been organizing since 13 Years of solidarity work with oppressed anarchists and anti-fascists. This work requires a lot of resources and time. In recent years we have achieved this with the support of comrades from all over the world, to continue our work, but in recent months our resources have been depleted by constant litigation. We are now in debt and are calling for support, to be able to continue our solidarity. At the fundraising events we talk about the protests, the anarchist movement in Belarus and the stories of our comrades captured by the regime.
