Two long-term cases based on depth psychology are described and examined psychoanalytically, with particular attention to the intercultural encounter. An attempt is also made, the term “race”, which comes from university cultural studies, in connection with the cases described as well as racializing projections and interactions within (imaginary) Explore the treatment room.
Bio: Burcu Coskun, Dr. med. univ., Specialist in psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy and psychoanalyst. Medical studies in Vienna. Lives in Berlin, Member of PaIB/DPG and IPA. Her work focuses on intercultural psychotherapy / Psychoanalysis and the psychoanalytic study of groups- and socio-political processes. Senior physician at the psychosomatic day clinic in the Theodor-Wenzel-Werk. Lecturer at the Psychoanalytic Institute Berlin/IfP and at the Health and Medical University (SEE) Potsdam.
