The question of working hours is and remains a contentious one. While the trade unions have introduced new working time models in recent years and the demand for a reduction in working hours has found its way back into collective bargaining disputes after decades, the employers' president recently declared the "fat years" over and called for the 42-hour week.
The event takes the current disputes as an opportunity, to ask about the status of the struggles for time and prospects for a radical reduction in working hours.
