As Ingmar and Claus-Peter the band 2001 founded, They initially had a classical line-up with bass, Guitar and drums in mind. After a while, however, the initial idea was decided against and songs were only recorded with bass and drums. The band's roots lie in the Krautrock genre, Doom, Stoner, Psychedelic, Pro, Noise and a bit of jazz. Their music can be understood as rhythm-focused sludge metal. During their performances they ensure open mouths and ringing ears. Repetitive riffs roll through the hall and become sound monoliths weighing tons thanks to the pounding drums, which fall on the listeners and wash everything away, what not never- and is nail solid. You don't believe, that there are only two musicians at work here. The band is highly praised in the scene for their intense concerts. Just last week a guest from Chemnitz told me about their live qualities. He had very shiny eyes. Maybe we'll see him again in April, when Beehoovers will cause a complete demolition in the subterranean. We can't wait!
Conclusion: A real drum&Bass festival for fans of PRIMUS, NAMEANSNO, HELMET, KISS, CROWBAR, TOOL, DIO, About, Sunn0))) or IRON MAIDEN.

With influences from Doom, Sludge and stoner rock have Basalt found their own niche – more authentic than pop, more accessible than the dark extremes and yet harder than the familiar sounds of the scene.
Their songs are varied, but always honest and raw. The lyrics consist of deep personal emotions, Self-criticism and pure vibes. They are not “true” to genres, but only to yourself and your conscience.
At their concerts they take the audience on an emotional journey - from “brain empty no thoughts, just vibes” to world pain and self-reflection. With slow ones, With booming guitars they transport the crowd into other spheres - and back again.
Basalt create a space, in which real life has no access and only its absurdity is viewed from afar through binoculars.
