Less than 20 Kilometers separate her grandparents' house, which is located in today's Israel, from the occupied Palestinian territory. As a child she only had an inkling of it, that an initially invisible border divides this country into two worlds - with big differences, what the rights, life expectancy and status in the eyes of the world.

Beginning 2020 Jabarine moved to Ramallah, to understand, what “Palestine” means: for the people on one side of the wall and for those on the other. And for their own identity. In her book she tells stories of humanity and joy of life, but also of resistance. stories, who help with that, to understand the reality in Israel and Palestine.
