Majorano are a dreamy Italo-pop band with unbiased references to underground rock and roll- and neo-soul scene. your current sound – a warm, lustful breeze between synthesizers, shrill guitars and mature songwriting, is the result of a long musical journey through tougher terrain, to soften their compositional sensibility.
Frontman Alex Maiorano and drummer Alessio D’Alessandro began their teenage careers together, by touring to gigs by bus from their hometown, to play in the Italian punk scene. In the year 2011 This wish forced her to return to Berlin, to renew their musical perspectives. They quickly became friends with Nico Battistelli and other international musicians and founded the rock 'n' roll revue Maiorano. This early version of the band mixed punk with other influences, like 50s airwaves, tropical rhythms and early Funk ‘n Soul. They brought a sleek take on Mediterranean pop art to their flashy stage shows, impressive outfits and album designs.
This unique fusion helped them, to stand out from the Berlin horizon, by being warmer than typical rock'n'roll bands and darker than the soul bands in the scene. They captured this creative period on vinyl for their first album Glorious Days from that year 2019, which was introduced in Europe and Australia.
Maiorano enjoys lightning-fast shows, by expanding their live band whenever possible, about a complete brass section, with dancers,… to inspire in all hemispheres.
Laguna Motel, a young band from Potsdam, daydreaming and thinking about weightlessness. Their decelerated psychedelic rock with gentle vocals and guitars full of melodic accents is sometimes humorous, sometimes mysterious, sometimes tragic. They also leave enough room for instrumental music passages in their arrangements.
