Eine der erfolgreichsten NDW Bands, die doch immer ihren Punk Wurzeln treu geblieben ist.

Obwohl sich die Originalbesetzung bereits 1983 auflöste, genießen NICHTS bis heute einen Kultstatus in verschiedenen subkulturellen Szenen. punk rock, Dark Wave/Gothic oder natürlich auch NDW Fans feiern die Band seit über 30 Jahren ab.

Zusammen mit Drummer Tobias Brink, Bassist Christopher Scarbeck und Sängerin Andrea Mothes gründete Ex-KFC-Gitarrist Meikel Clauss Ende 80/Anfang81 NICHTS. They soon enjoyed great popularity in the burgeoning NDW high, even if the band with their punk background didn't really want to have anything to do with it. But the song “Radio” and Andrea's voice also went well with IDEAL and NEONBABIES. With the Neuss indie label Schallmauer, the band recorded the album under the direction of Dieter Joswig and released the LP in June 1981. In the fall of the year, NOTHING left the 7″-Single “Radio” distributed by the major CBS, which became a small chart hit after an appearance on the ARD program Bananas: “Dear God, I wish so, my voice on the radio / In den Charts Number four, everyone is so nice to me” –

About 70.000 Units of the album and more than 10.000 Singles also sold thanks to the video clip – for a band with a punk background who really just want to waste their youth, a small sensation.
