Next Friday a comrade of the Red Aid Leipzig will speak to investigations against leftists according to §129.
After we broached the case of the incarcerated anti-fascist Lina, it is now about further cases in which left structures were extensively examined with this investigative instrument, and what that actually means for us as left activists.
For example, it has become known several times over the past few years, that in Leipzig extensive investigations according to §129 StGB, Formation of a criminal organization, took place because of the alleged formation of anti-fascist sports groups. Investigations in Frankfurt, Hamburg and after the G20 summit also proceeded according to this scheme. Further cases can be found in the repression against the Kurdish and Turkish left, who seem to be subject to suspicion according to §129a / b and have to serve prison sentences for it. The Red Aid is doing solidarity work in these absurd procedures and will report on them.
We want a part to process the investigation, the consequences for those affected and their environment and the political discussion about these procedures. Because one thing becomes clear quickly: The §129 is a conviction paragraph, against which only solidarity with those affected helps.
It remains: Defend left structures!
