Salzmannslam SMS: Poetry Slam is the most modern and probably the most entertaining way, To spread literature orally. In this kind of modern poet competition, in which the poet in a time limit of 6 Minutes perform their self -written texts, the audience can democratically evaluate the texts heard (and decide on the victory and defeat of the competitors). Poetry Slam is becoming increasingly popular and all over the world - also in northern Hesse. It offers versatile possibilities of personal expression for the artists themselves, and various facets of perception for the audience. At the SMS aka Salzmannslam, up to nine poet from all over Germany will present their texts.

Moderation: Jockey Keilen, since 10 Active in the poetry slam scene for years – both as a traveling poet and as a presenter and organizer
To the moderator: Jockey Keilen (geb. 1996) Was already fascinated by literature as a child and started writing early. With 15 Years she received her first literary award, Before she started to deal with the spoken word and the format poetry slam.
since 2014 she is an active member of the Kassel Poetry Slam scene and travels throughout Germany with her texts. In addition to numerous appearances, she regularly organizes and moderates the Bauna Slam in the youth center Second Home and the Slam the System theme-reading stage, Just like numerous individual events (u.a. Kassel school championships in the Poetry Slam, Kultur-in-Park Festival Bad Emstal, Lyrica-Festival). Since the end 2014 Successfully leads workshops in the Poetry Slam for many different age groups.
2015 she graduated from the Jacob Grimm School in Kassel, Then studied political science and philosophy and ended in the year 2023 Your studies in social work. In addition to numerous victories in appearances all over Germany, she was in June 2016 Trizermeister at the Hessian championships in the Poetry Slam.
since 2017 she is committed to networking Germany within the poetry slam scene and coordinates the planning of the North Hessian slams. She also supports young North Hessian poet on her way to the slam scene and directed the year 2022 with your team the Hessian U20 championships in Baunatal.
In addition to her studies and activity in the Poetry Slam scene, she works in the assistance service with people with disabilities and is involved in the social and political field.
