Rotopol, in cooperation with studio oquela, invites you to a new edition of Tuesday Tales. This time the Kassel artist Verena Kern is a guest and will give insights into her comic “Aufbruch” and current works at a reading and a workshop discussion.
Her comic debut “Aufbruch”, with which Verena Kern completed her studies in visual communication at the Kassel University of Art, is dedicated to the topics of aging and dementia. In summer 2019 The artist regularly drew in a retirement home in Kassel and got to know a resident there better. The fictional story of the comic book was created based on these impressions. Additional texts describe the thoughts and encounters during its creation.
