Dear fellow campaigners,

for over 35 For years, Leyla and Meryem Lacin have been fighting for their right to be in Germany. As politically persecuted Kurds, they are fighting to be allowed to live here, to work, to participate in politics and receive health care. They are fighting to secure their long-term survival here. Since the middle 2021 Leyla is forced to live on social welfare, because her work permit was revoked despite her permanent desire to work. The authorities continue to give the two no peace. After soon 15 years in Kassel and over 35 Years in Germany, there is still no residence solution for the two of them.

Now Leyla and Meryem will be on 13.03.2026 heard again by the Kassel Administrative Court on questions regarding their residence. Instead of finally clarifying Leyla and Meryem's residency perspective, We have been witnessing a humiliating jurisdictional ping-pong between the city of Bayreuth and the city of Kassel for years. It is to be assumed, that it is again just a matter of denying the responsibility of the city of Kassel and not ending the administrative chaos, but to continue. That still means no long-term prospects for the two of them to stay.

We won't allow that! We, these are former work colleagues, Friends and colleagues. Come with us to the public hearing in the courtroom and to the court. Bring signs and banners!
We show our solidarity against the inhumane migration policy and against the criminalization of the Kurdish movement! For a right to stay for everyone! Leyla and Meryem stay!

We're off 09:00 p.m. in front of the court. Come along and take part in the negotiation!
