Wer Station 17 pursued over the past three decades, he knows: the
The only constant about this band is change. to develop, music too

as a project of a residential group for mentally handicapped people – the residential group 17
– founded in Hamburg.
The whole project was initiated by Kai Boysen, an independent musician, who worked there as a healing teacher. The collective started out as a creative and
social project and was the first of its kind, the musician with and without
disability in the alternative music scene.
Eleven official albums (including two remix albums) appeared since then. In the course of this
years station emancipated itself 17 more and more of the basic idea of ​​the pure
creative-social project and developed with their own mix of electronics,
Krautrock, Disco, Noise and pop to an internationally important formation in the
area of ​​experimental indie rock. On this long and eventful journey
overplayed the collective 800 Concerts in many European countries, there were
shot two full-length documentaries and there were numerous musical ones
Collaborations with other renowned artists such as Holger Czukay, fat
loaf, Barbara Morgenstern, Andreas Dorau, DJ Koze, Die Toten Hosen and many more.
The new Station 17 album "Ausblick" will be released just in time for the 30th anniversary,
with which it 2019 goes on tour.
