The Tanzhaus temporary N°11 of the tanz*werk kassel deals with the architecture of the time. We experience space and time in dance, in motion. Time passes when you walk through the room, distance passes, the body ages. Time is not measured time.
Time IS. Raum: is a container for matter, is architectural space, is social space for interaction, is geographical space, is virtual space, is expansion.
The passage of time becomes visible in change. The life of bodies and things is not “durable”, is in constant change. We do not achieve inner freedom by holding on to material things, but in the awareness of time. At the time, be in the moment. Let's confront the finite or the infinity?
The performances of the Tanzhaus temporär N°11 deal with a spiritual theme , psychological, more mathematical, musical level with the relationship between space and time. The opening of the 11. Tanzhaus am 05.09. takes place as a double evening with two solo works: Re-trace of a trace, leaving a trace, in a trace by Ilana Reynolds and Gravity – the speed of existence of Abdennacer Leblalta.
On Friday, 06.09. The choreographer Max Levy presents his dance short film
A SONG WITHOUT WORDS. This is followed by the trio choreographed by Max Levy CLEPSYDRA be seen. On Saturday you can physically experience Levy's work in a two-hour workshop. The weekend ends with a duet with the clarinetist Andrea Nagy and the dancer and choreographer Michael Langeneckert with the piece TIME AND MOTION.
since 2022 tanz*werk kassel is temporarily organizing the Tanzhaus series. During this time, exciting dance pieces and performances could be seen in this setting in Kassel, who have shown the wide spectrum of contemporary dance. The great interest of the audience supported and strengthened our project. Tanz*werk Kassel is also looking forward to a refreshing exchange on the topic for Tanzhaus temporär N°11 Architecture of the time.
