Played in the early days Veranda Music I like to go to the kebab shop or at Christmas with a saxophone trio in the Schiller Opera, then we went to larger concert halls with “poetic pop miniatures and big rock songs to sing along to” (Konrad Heidkamp in the TIME) or on tour with veterans like Marianne Faithfull, Jonathan Richman or Dr. John. After five regular, partly out-of-print albums and a recently released Brazilian EP, the band is now releasing their first best-of album with “Lovers”.. The ten selected songs sound either like “Tindersticks on E” or “Heroin Rock and Bossa Nova”, like Christian Buß in SPIEGEL wrote about the fourth album “Secret Scenes”.: "Astonishing, what radiant melodies Veranda Music produces – and what obscure chain-rattling rhythms they sometimes dress them in. Songs like 'Soul Bends' or 'Overwhelming' immediately stick in your ear, every single line of the song gets stuck in the brain. Like the one from ‘Swimming Pool’: ‘I go to the movies to take a look at my life’. Melodies and phrases, that other musicians would peddle, are produced at Veranda Music as if on the side. In this way, they create a negative pressure that is rather unusual in pop music and sometimes maintain the tension for a length that is unusual for pop songs. More than ever, you get the impression, that there is no fixed formula here: Every song a new adventure. Great rock music moments, from the pumping bass to lascivious guitar licks to the sometimes cheerfully strolling West Coast piano. And yet every song follows its own unique dynamic, which is unusual for rock, Jazz is not far away at Veranda Music. In their most obscure moments, this band, which is not lacking in obscure moments, sounds like a mixture of the Californian libido rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers and the Brazilian bossa-bopper Tom Zé. You’ve never heard of that before.”

Dream folk rock as a nighttime soundtrack for gazing at the stars. Enveloped in a warm vintage sound, sings Peppler in a moving voice about trust, Connection, Desire and how it comes and goes. There are live concerts Peppler both solo in the style of the 60s/70s songwriters (guitar & Harmonica) as well as in a dynamic trio with keys/synthesizers and drums, somewhere between 70s folk rock and dream pop.

Peppler presents his debut album One Night out of Time a musically diverse journey through the night. The songs, written and recorded at night, combine a warm, vintage sound with modern singer-songwriters, Pop Elements. The beginning of the album is characterized by catchy songs, which gradually become more intimate, folky sounds pass over, before the album finally ends in rocky arrangements. The ending with the song Blessed, in which Peppler accompanies himself solo with guitar and harmonica, invites you to explore and pause. Lyrically, the singer-songwriter sings about trust and connection with yourself and the world and about desire, how it comes and goes.

After releasing the album in May 2023 and December 2023 on vinyl via the Berlin indie label Waterfall Records, two Germany-wide tours followed in May 2023 and January 2024.
