Hundreds of thousands gathered in the fall 2020 on the streets of many Polish cities. Feminist:inside protested nationwide against the de facto abolition of the right to abortion. It was the largest demonstration in Poland since 1989. they called: "Women's Freedom" (Freedom for women!), "We have had enough!“ (We have enough!), "My body, my choice" (My body, my decision). These women have put the whole country in a state of emergency. They went on strike, to express their anger and disbelief at the country's patriarchal-chauvinist government.
The struggle for the right to abortion has by no means flagged with the legal changes in Poland – Art and activism are becoming increasingly intertwined in the feminist movement. One of the actors:inside is Zofia nierodzinska, which commutes between Poznan and Berlin as well as between art and politics in its feminist practice. She will give us an insight into the organization that evening, the struggles and alliances, that give resistance and repression against the Polish feminist movement.
