OFFLINE body ONLINE (2018)
29., 30., 31. October 2020, 14.30 – 17 Clock
Kassel Kunstverein // Friedrichplatz 18

The performative installation OFFLINE Körper ONLINE explores the boundaries between humans and machines as well as the digital and analog world in a playful way.

The Merle collective | Mischke | Klee does the job 2018 presented for the first time and poses the question with a new version in the Kasseler Kunstverein, how her own feelings and her own view of the performance as well as that of the audience have changed since the premiere. How much has the desire for digital connectedness since 2018 reinforced? How has the global understanding of physical closeness changed since then??

In the period from 3,5 Hours, four performers come together for a structured improvisation. The audience can enter or leave this performative installation at any time. Mark Christoph Klee is the only performer physically present in the room and searches together with Coralie Merle, which is projected over a large area via live broadcast, after physical bond. Jasiek Mischke only appears as a voice, who commented on the event, conducted or interpreted. Kuki (aka. Mitsuku) as the world's most human-like chatbot with artificial intelligence is available via text messages, which are visible on a second projection surface, in dialogue with Klee.

since 2018 elaborate Coralie Merle (dance, CH), Jasiek Mischke (Spoken Word, NL/PL) and Mark Christoph Klee (dance, DE) long-lasting performative installations and stage plays on the field of tension between language, Movement and space art. Their work focuses on Schleswig-Holstein and they are associated artists of the Pilkentafel theater workshop, Flensburg.
