In the Kurdish region in northern Syria Rojava was middle of the war a democratic self-government. The Rojava Revolution in North- and eastern Syria is often described as a revolution, on genuine democracy, ecological principles and is based Freedom. It provides an alternative to capitalist modernity and the nation-state. The local government wants to be recognized internationally as a democratic federation.
The organization locally based on the pillars of grassroots democracy, ecology and emancipatory equality for women *. In the last seven years are everywhere grassroots, self-managed and environmental projects developed: Neighborhood councils - shelters - Education academies - an alternative, Free school system - Economic- and farming cooperatives, and more.
The success of the democratic revolution is Rojavas by wars of aggression on the part of fascist regimes and jihadist groups at risk.
We invite, us as part of a reading circle with the principles of self-government, social ecology, to deal with issues of justice and utopias. Ocalan's vision of a local organized democratic ecological society gave the Kurdish movement impetus and offers suggestions for the global debate about a new socialism.
The reading group is to provide the ability to create an open space for discussion and content with themes of revolution, to address the history of Kurdistan and the political situation.
