Colorful Threads is a meeting
for people, who are queer
and also disabled or chronically ill.

Queer is English for weird.
This is how queer is pronounced: qwuier.
Queer used to be a dirty word.
Today some people say:
I'm queer and proud of it.
For example: Women, that women love.
men, that men love.
People, people love.
People, which Not fall in love.
People, the no feel sexual attraction.
People, the Not are only woman or man.
Inter people
Trans people

We do that at the meeting:
We talk to each other
and sew or do other handicrafts.
You decide for yourself, what you do.
It's okay, if you just get to talk.
Or just for handcrafting.
Or both.

Talk to each other
You get to know more queer people.
They are also disabled, crazy or chronically ill.
For example, you talk about handicrafts.
Or about your experiences.
Or about it, how you can be strong together with others.

Sewing and handicrafts
You can do this at the meeting:
Repair your clothes.
Or make them more beautiful.
Sew a pillow.
Or something else.
You decide, what you do.
Do you want to know?, how something works?
Then Tristan Marie will show you.

Essen
There is also food.
The Queer Center prepares food.
This is vegan and gluten free.
Would you also like to bring food for everyone??
It has to Not be vegan or gluten free.
Important is: Write down the ingredients.
This is how others know, what's in the food.

locations
There are several rooms in the Queer Center:
There is a large space for everyone.
And a relaxation room.
A person can be alone sometimes.
And there is still 2 locations.
There you can sew or talk.

We meet every two months
on the weekend
of 12-16 Clock.

Location
The meeting is at the Queer Center.
This is on Mauerstrasse 11
in Kassel.
At the Mauerstrasse bus stop.
There is an elevator to the Queer Center.
This will take you into the 5. Stock.
Then you go left into the hallway.
The Queer Center is at the end of the hallway.
If you are coming to the Queer Center for the first time and would you like to be picked up at the bus stop?
Then write an email to

Please test yourself for Corona before the meeting.
You don't have a corona test?
Then you can test yourself at the Queer Center.
Please don't come, if you are acutely ill.
For example, if you have a cold.

Tristan Marie first learned tailoring.
Now Tristan Marie makes art
and works with fabrics and threads.
And Tristan Marie likes to give courses.
In the courses, people learn together
and encourage each other.
Tristan Marie dreams of a fair and tender world.
And wants to make dreams big and small come true.
