Fred from the youth sector of the Brazilian Landless Movement visits Kassel!
We would like to start a conversation together: How can we stop the struggle for dignified housing for all, access to education, Infrastructure, medical care, culture and securing political, socioeconomic, and organize environmental rights? What sustainable alternatives are there to the capitalist production system? How do we achieve social transformation around patriarchal, racist social structures, to overcome social and economic inequality and worker exploitation?
The answers of the Brazilian landless movement to these and similar questions lie in the democratization of land ownership and agrarian reform from the perspective of civil society. The movement is an international point of reference for grassroots democratic social development and collective work. Internationalist, she is active in the Via Campesina against the global dominance of agribusiness, Part of the International People's Assembly and sends solidarity brigades to different countries. Social movements from all over the world take part in political education courses at the National Education Institute of the Landless Movement Florestan Fernandes.
