For more than 3 Millions of families in Peru without electricity and refrigerators are offered an unplugged, low-tech, clay refrigerator, Sand and water a simple and universally applicable possibility, to keep vegetables and fruits fresh.
Claudia Siesquen Deza, (sociologist, Peru), currently doing voluntary service at Welt- and regional shop in Kassel, and Jorge Siesquén Deza (economist), have this cooler, which combines sustainability and poverty reduction, jointly developed and are now presenting it as part of the documenta 15 vor.
