Minimalist analog electronics, warm waves of noisy, shimmering drones and cold industrial sounds, John Dorr (GB) turns his guitar into a wall of sound with loops and effects pedals, which is broken by his deep and intimate voice. The songs are framed by an unmistakable atmosphere, which is at the same time delicate and shimmering, complicated microbeats, dense layers of experimental guitar, those with a variety of effects and instruments (electric razor blades, The vibrator, Wooden arches) nourishes. A variety of instruments and sounds are used, including synthesizers, Glockenspiels, drum machines and samplers, to strange toy instruments like the Otamatone.
John Dorr is a British native, Composer and performer living in France. After graduation in the year 2012 With a Bachelor of Music in classical music, he founded the instrumental neoclassical band Stems, published 4 Albums and a BFI-funded live soundtrack for George Melies' silent film “A trip to the moon”. After several tours through Europe, he was already overplaying 400 Concerts.
