Many districts in Kassel are on the move.
In this event, we want to open spaces for dreaming together at specific locations in Kassel. We want to bring our needs and requirements in places in Kassel together with prospects for neighborhood development in an exemplary manner and make them fruitful for solidarity-based urban development. To do this, we will take a closer look at three areas with experts: the Henschel site (Mr. Wilson and Veit Wolfer) and the former Arm compound (Raamwerk). What are the special features of the processes/areas and what is/is planned here?

Our focus here is on a social place, which should improve our everyday life in Kassel.

The event is the start of the Event series – Do it yourself city Kassel
How must Kassel develop, so that it better suits our needs? What can we take into our own hands now and what needs longer processes? Based on our personal interests and needs, we want to ask ourselves the question, how Kassel can/should/must develop, to enable a life worth living for everyone.
Which places do we miss in everyday life and what do we want to stand for together?
We want to embark with you on a journey through possible perspectives on solidarity-based urban development. That is why we are planning events on the following topics:
- Shaping Kassel: A look at: Jägerkaserne, Henschel site and oat cocoa site.
- Urban development from below using the example of the Planbude in Hamburg.
- The role of community work in urban development processes.
- What role should open spaces play in our everyday lives??
- What should places look like?, where we worry about each other?
- How do we go public with our concerns?, using the example of Deutsche Wohnen & expropriate co.
In addition to the main content of the individual appointments, the series is intended to serve this purpose, to form a group, who wants to deal with solidarity-based urban development in Kassel in the long term.
