On the occasion of the International Day against Violence against Women, the annually on 25. November is celebrated, We are bringing the play “KONE MORE” from the Stage for Human Rights to Kassel. After the piece, there will be a panel discussion with local actors on the topic of the Violence Protection Act.
“NO MORE” is a documentary staged reading with live DJ, which focuses on the stories of three women, who are affected by violence. These women are not just those affected, but also activists. They have processed their experiences and share their expertise, to help other women and raise awareness of the diverse forms of violence in our society.
A call for solidarity
“NO MORE” is based on real conversations between three women from the Women in Exile organizations, the GKB Federal Association of Migrants and Whitewater e.V. and is performed by three actors.
It calls for solidarity with affected women and underlines the necessity, regardless of the different backgrounds and stories, to stand together against violence. In doing so, they question the often one-sided portrayals of victims in the media and politics and instead offer differentiated perspectives on the topic of violence against women.
Note: There will be translation by sign language interpreters at the event.
