The idea is: everyone runs through the village, get to know their neighbors better and give something away or have something given to them. We cordially invite everyone, with a gift box, -shelf or table to take part. Everyone can leave something on their doorstep and then stroll through the village together, from one gift to the next. Of course, everyone else is also invited to receive gifts from the people of Niederkaufung!

The course takes place between the Rehheckenweg and the Lossegrund. Mainly on the streets: stone way, Middle Street. Wilhelmstrasse, Behind the school and the cross-connections: Windhäuser Street, Kirchweg, Am Haferbach und Mühlenstrasse, as well as around the church and in Bergstrasse. Last year there were over there 30 People, who took part with smaller and larger stands. Everything is possible from children's books to cuddly toys, from homemade jam to a collection of games, from grandma's coffee dishes to the Klappfix trailer.

A few days beforehand we will put maps on the streetlights in the district. The locations of the registered giveaway locations are listed on the signs. This way everyone can orientate themselves and go “on the prowl”.. Last year some spontaneous people also came along, who wanted to join in with a giveaway location. From 15 It will then start at o'clock, all stands are ready, some people sit outside their homes and give things away to others, who stroll through the district and invite you, to linger a little and chat.

It is important to us, that everything is given away, that we pass things on, that we no longer use ourselves, to people, which you might still be able to use. And that we also think about it, what we really need. We believe: it is good neighbors and community. When we invite each other and give each other gifts, then a completely different mood immediately arises. We don't have to negotiate and bargain, we don't want to get the smallest or the largest price, but we meet each other as people and can appreciate exactly that.

We also thought about it, that people, who would like to donate something, can do this too. We chose the “Kaufunger Neighborhood Help” as a sensible project, who has lived this very idea for a long time: Cohesion and support for those in need in the community of Kaufungen. When donations come together, then they should flow there.
