Several cases in Kassel
On Sunday, a man harassed a woman at a playground in Unterneustadt, who was traveling with her child. That one, for example 35 to 40 Year-old perpetrator exposed himself in front of the woman in broad daylight. The victim was able to get to safety with her child. The police never found the perpetrator.
There was already a similar incident at the university on Wednesday: Two women alerted the police, after a man masturbated in public earlier in the evening. He was also able to escape on an e-scooter.
In Kassel – as in other places – cases occur regularly, in which men expose themselves in front of women. Sexual harassment occurs even more frequently in the workplace and in the private environment. Surveys show that more than two-thirds of women experience sexual harassment or assault in their lifetime. The number of sexual crimes has recently risen significantly in northern Hesse. 2025 were policed alone 1.701 cases registered.
