Federal government is planning new tanks for over 1 Mrd. Euro
The federal government is planning another major order for Rheinmetall and KNDS. Should be before the summer break 35 wheeled infantry fighting vehicles and 23 Recovery tanks are ordered for the Bundeswehr. Already 2025 were 150 Wheeled infantry fighting vehicle for 3,4 Mrd. Euro was commissioned.
The vehicles are intended for the medium-sized forces of the army and are intended to quickly reach operational areas, for example in Eastern European NATO states, can be relocated. The new orders require expenses of more than 1 Mrd. Euro planted.
In Kassel, the companies manufacture important components of the tank models and undertake assembly and maintenance. Because of the increasing orders, the plants are to be expanded. This affects areas from Rothenditmold to the northern part of the city.
While the federal government cuts healthcare- and social sector with rising costs, Armament spending will increase many times more.
