The two authors Hans-Jürgen Müller (Farmer and member of the state parliament) and Norbert Franz (historian) present their book “Sustainable Agriculture – Safe Nutrition. “The great transformation of German agriculture”.. After the book launch, we look forward to a lively discussion.
From the publisher's description: “Most German agricultural companies are increasingly using industrial methods: They carry out mass production based on the division of labor in ever larger units. This book shows, how this economic system ultimately destroys their own livelihoods and endangers food security. Norbert Franz and Hans-Jürgen Müller derive the reasons for this development and show tried and tested ways of moving agriculture towards sustainability. The authors introduce social actors, who carry out and promote this “great transformation.”
While Franz places the emergence of industrial agriculture historically in the book, That's what Müller is concerned about, not the industrial farmer*to criticize yourself internally, but above all the system and corporate interests, who are behind industrial agriculture.
