Yesterday protested, for example 200 People in front of the Kassel town hall against the planned cuts in health care- and social area. The focus was on the consequences of the savings for people with disabilities, chronically ill and elderly people.
Drastic cuts in the health sector were decided in the Bundestag today. Savings plans such as compulsory sick leave from day one and increased medication co-payments mean a massive additional burden. People with disabilities are particularly affected by this. In speeches, those affected spoke about the vital role of assistance and care, the inadequate medical care for ME/CFS as well as the low pay and lack of self-determination in workshops for the disabled. One victim said: “A decision will be made about us again, but never with us.”
At the end the organizers referred:inside on the protests from the previous day and called for further creative actions, meetings and strikes.
