On the occasion of the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of National Socialism, the 27. January 2021, had the Kassel local group of the Association of those Persecuted by the Nazi Regime – Association of Antifascists (VVN-BdA) called for decentralized and virtual commemoration. Am 27. The VVN-BdA itself commemorated the monument “The ramp” at the former Henschel site, today a university campus. The memorial there commemorates the fate of the deportees from Kassel and has been exposed to various hostilities over the decades. It came alongside graffiti 1992 to an arson attack on the monument, whereupon it was restored by dedicated people from Kassel.
