Bild columnist Harald Martenstein is honored in Kassel
Columnist Harald Martenstein will be awarded the German Language Prize in Kassel this Friday. He received the prize “for his services to the German language” and for that, that he wrote his texts “never in the corset of political correctness” cords.
The 72-year-old wrote several novels and columns for various newspapers, since the beginning of January for them image. His columns are increasingly about alleged discrimination against “old white men” or criticism of gender.
Recently he spoke up against a ban on the right-wing extremist AfD out and demanded, to treat them as a normal party, Which “Tradition and family” hold up. The journalist Melanie Amann therefore described him as “AfD lawyer”.
The prize, worth €10,000, has been awarded since 1984 of the Henning Kaufmann Foundation forgiven and since 2022 awarded in Kassel. The laudatory speech will be given by the President of the Bundestag, Julia Klöckner (CDU) held.
