Am 6. June 2022 53-year-old Irina from North Hesse was murdered by her ex-partner in Treysa near Schwalmstadt.
On the morning of the crime, Irina filed a police report against the 58-year-old for assault, Stalking and coercion reimbursed. The report was preceded by a police operation in the woman's apartment the day before, in which the perpetrator was sent off. According to the police, there were no indications that the woman was in any specific danger.
Later that day, Irina was shot in the supermarket. The perpetrator then avoided the consequences of his crime by committing suicide.
At a Memorial rally in June 2022 emphasized theInitiative against femicide: “We make it clear, that this was not an isolated incident. These murders are systematic and they arise from the patriarchy, that permeates our society”. Am 7. July 2025 There was another femicide in Kassel. Every other day a man in Germany kills his (Ex-)partner.
