Threatening deportation: Family fights for Muhiddin

On Sunday afternoon, 2. July, demonstrated about 200 People in Kassel against the imminent deportation of the Kurd Muhiddin Fidan. The father of five lives since 27 years in Germany, is involved here culturally and socially. With the forced return to Turkey, this could be over in a few days and Muhiddin's life could be in serious danger.

Politically motivated deportation

Muhiddin's family fled 25 Years before the war in Turkey to Germany. He is married, Father of five children, nevertheless he should be deported. On closer inspection of his case it quickly becomes clear, that the deportation has political reasons.

Demonstration against deportations

The newly founded “Alliance against deportations from Hessen” called for a demonstration last Friday “Deportations are not an administrative act!” in Kassel. round 200 People moved from Lutherplatz via Kurt-Schumacher- Street to the regional council.

“I will not stop, to claim my basic rights!”

Leyla and Meryem Lacin have been fighting since 30 Years for a right to stay in Germany. Since October last year they have been supported by an initiative made up of friends and work colleagues. However, the situation has not improved since then, but rather deteriorated: Recently a file inspection revealed, that the regional council of Kassel is preparing their deportation to Turkey.
